A little bit about us.
Josh Muzzy, owner of True Blue Landscaping, spent time working for various local landscaping companies in the 90s. Unsatisfied with the ability to apply the needed quality to these projects, he took a job for Tamarron, which is now the Glacier Club. Josh quickly became the "head greens man" and loved mowing the greens and fairways. He earned the nickname "Muzzy Laser Lines"! Josh was given the responsibility for planting and even over-seeding all the greens and Tees on the new private 9 from scratch.
Josh took pride in his work and literally started True Blue Landscape company from a flyer advertising raking leaves. His first patio was built for champion mountain biker Ned Overend, and they've just been getting better every year since. "True Blue" is an Australian term meaning "genuine" and "honest", saying, "that's true blue mate." The company still keeps this motto and lives up to it. Being able to build the "healing area" and "Labyrinth" for Mercy Medical as well the "Bayfield Community Garden Design" were great stepping stones in becoming a large, commercial landscaper who could handle any job.
Josh takes a lot of pride in his landscape designs and the relationships with his clients are the foundation of the company. He has an organic approach to listening to customers' vision and then in an almost spiritual way, letting the land speak, defining a design that is above and beyond your expectations! In his own words: "this is art to me and I love nature. We have planted thousands and thousands of trees in Durango!" This is fitting as Durango, Colorado is colloquially referred to as "the city of trees" I am lucky live here and most importantly, to have a "green thumb"!
I answer my phone and do what I say, hence my friends have given me the nickname "Muzzduzz" - not Muzz doesn't! People always describe our landscaping as very, "clean" and attentive to detail. I take a lot of pride in doing things right! I am in it for the long run and forever willing to grow. Literally the "difference is true" at True Blue Landscape & Design.
